Alloy 725是一种添加了大量的钼、铌和钛的镍铬合金,在热加工、退火和时效硬化后供应。 通过受控热处理工艺期间的“ϒ”相析出,它借助时效硬化处理而达到了极高的强度,约为退火条件下Alloy 625的两倍。 由于是通过老化处理而非冷加工来达到这种高强度,因此它仍保持了出色的延性和韧性,而这种方法适用于无法通过冷加工来提高强度的大截面或变截面。
Alloy 725的耐腐蚀性与Alloy 625非常接近,因此可用于各类高腐蚀性环境。 较高的镍含量可确保耐应力腐蚀开裂,添加钼可有效耐受诸如硫酸和磷酸等还原环境,添加铬可耐受诸如硝酸等氧化环境,添加钛可耐受晶间腐蚀,因此能全面耐点蚀和裂隙腐蚀。 得益于合金元素的全面结合,它能够有效耐受含有二氧化碳、氯化物和硫化氢的含硫油气井条件,经NACE MR 1075批准可用于这些应用。
