Alloy 718是一种高强度、耐腐蚀的镍铬合金,在热加工、固溶退火和时效硬化后供应。 Nb、Ti、Al和Ni的添加使得在受控固溶退火和老化工艺步骤期间形成了一系列的析出物,从而让强度和硬度较备选的镍合金得以显著提高。 从低温到高温都能维持这些抗拉和抗蠕变断裂属性,因此适合温度介于-250oC – 750oC的应用。
作为一种镍铬合金,它在许多环境中都具有令人满意的耐腐蚀性,包括各种温度下的海水、硫化氢、CO2、元素硫和氯离子。 它能够防硫化物应力开裂,并且能通过依据NACE TM 0177方法C溶液A的硫化物应力腐蚀测试。Alloy 718是依照NACE和API 6A标准来供应,可满足石油行业的应用要求,包括能够耐应力腐蚀开裂,以及高强度、高抗蠕变性和可焊性。 理想的应用领域包括采油工具(例如闸阀和节流杆)和高强度应用(例如紧固件和涡轮)。
